Masha (she/her) joined Disability Rights Washington in 2026 in the Long-Term Care Resident Rights program. Before joining DRW, Masha practiced in Houston, Texas, where she drafted specialized estate planning documents to access public benefits and to achieve tax objectives, led clients through complex Medicaid appeals, and provided counsel to trustees, guardians, and executors. She also participated in pro bono services for the ALS Clinic at Houston Methodist. Masha graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 2024. During law school, she founded the Disability Law Society, served as Lead Principal Investigator for the Olmstead Project under a UH Population Health Grant researching community integration for people with disabilities, served on the Board of the Houston Journal of Health Policy as a Publications Editor, and contributed to the Ukraine Accountability Project through the Global Accountability Network. As an attorney, Masha was involved with the Houston Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, where she organized legal observer trainings and community events. Prior to law school, Masha graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Russian Language and Culture. Masha enjoys the arts, baking, and reading.
