Sarah Finley
Attorney

Sarah Finley (she/her) is a staff attorney with the Treatment Facilities Program. She investigates cases of abuse and neglect, and advocates on behalf of people with disabilities living in treatment facilities throughout the state.

Sarah graduated magna cum laude with pro bono honors from Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, Sarah represented misdemeanor clients in the D.C. Superior Court as a student attorney in the Criminal Defense and Prisoner Advocacy Clinic. She also taught the traditional 1L Legal Research and Writing course to a group of men incarcerated in the Jessup Correctional Institute, Maryland’s maximum-security prison.

Before coming to Disability Rights Washington, Sarah was a trial attorney for the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office in Arapahoe County. In this role, Sarah represented people accused of charges ranging from traffic offenses to organized crime and first-degree homicide.

Sarah was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon. She lives in Seattle with her partner and two perfect black cats, Clementine and Clover.
