Sarah Finley (she/her) is a staff attorney with the Treatment Facilities Program. She investigates cases of abuse, neglect, and discrimination, and advocates on behalf of people with disabilities living in treatment facilities throughout the state.
Sarah says “As a public defender, I saw firsthand every day how the legal system neglects and mistreats the most vulnerable among us, too often resulting in those with disabilities being locked away and forgotten about. DRW offers the unique opportunity to identify, fight against, and remedy those harms on both the individual and the broader systemic levels. I could not be more honored to join the team here, and I am thrilled to continue a career advocating for an abolitionist, deinstitutionalized future.”
